Santa Sings to Arizona’s Christmas City-Acker Night
It was a beautiful night for the 28th Annual Acker Night in downtown Prescott, AZ. You never know the weather you’ll get on the second Friday in December in Everybody’s Hometown, so we were very blessed this year.
Several blocks of downtown Prescott were blocked off and local businesses stayed open late to host professional musicians giving back to our community. Acker Night is to benefit musical scholarships for local students. It is produced solely by volunteers and was created to fulfill the wishes of benefactor and Prescott resident James S. Acker.
“All the residue of my estate…I give to the City of Prescott to be used for parks and for promotion of music, particularly for children” — J.S. Acker 1865-1955.
